More and more accommodation providers are focusing on sustainability. And that's a good thing. According to a study by booking.com, 34% of travelers worldwide booked sustainable accommodation last year, and the trend is rising. This could already be a decisive factor for 65% of travelers in 2017.

In the 1990s, pioneers of regionalism and the careful use of natural resources founded the Ö+ association. They laid the foundation for today's ibex fairstay label. With the dissolution of the association in January 2017, the rights to the methodology and the "ibex fairstay" brand were taken over in full by grischconsulta AG.
