ibex fairstay MeetingPoint: the speakers agree - sustainability is a MUST in the future
How important is a sustainable approach in tourism and the hotel industry? How important is sustainability - also from the guests' perspective? These and other questions were explored at the first ibex fairstay MeetingPoint on October 5, 2021. In concise short presentations, experienced hoteliers reported on their experiences with the topic of sustainability and provided insights into their businesses. Roland Zegg, President of ibex fairstay, hosted the 90-minute virtual industry meeting.
Switzerland Tourism focuses on sustainability - ibex fairstay has been involved right from the start

Switzerland Tourism focuses on sustainability
With the clear aim of making Switzerland better known to guests as a sustainable travel destination, Switzerland Tourism presents its "Swisstainable" program - a play on the words "Switzerland" and "Sustainable". At last - many a tourism professional must have thought to themselves - clarity and transparency are coming to the label jungle. Switzerland Tourism has deliberately dispensed with a new list of criteria and instead recognizes existing awards and certifications. This benefits all service providers with a recognized award. All establishments that have been awarded the ibex fairstay label benefit in particular, as they are directly classified at the highest "leading" level. This advantage should be used for internal and external communication.
