The Sorell Hotels are further expanding their commitment to sustainable management. Six more of the Group's hotels have been awarded the renowned Swiss sustainability label ibex fairstay. This means that almost all Sorell Hotels are now certified - with the exception of the Sorell Hotel Speer in Rapperswil, which is currently in the certification process due to its recent renovation.

Regionality is also offered to guests in the form of thermal water in the rooms and the "Sardona bread roll" from the local bakery, whose two-tone color reflects the geological features of the Sardona Tectonic Arena in the immediate vicinity. For Merkofer, the certification process offered the opportunity to review operational standards with the new, sustainable knowledge and make corrections where necessary.
