Review: ibex fairstay training and networking day 2025 in Baar/Zug

Cycle - the word is on everyone's lips. It is usually associated with the word economy. But where do social, ecological, regional and management cycles come together? What do regenerative tourism, purchasing management and recyclable bidons have in common with sustainable cycles? And how do practitioners from the hotel and catering industry draw their circles?

We explored these questions at the 6th ibex fairstay training and networking day on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in Baar. We were inspired by forward-looking input presentations and took a look behind the scenes at the Dialoghotel Eckstein Baar. At the same time, we enjoyed the valuable exchange between colleagues and like-minded people.

At the cozy get-together the evening before, the participants enjoyed a culinary tavolata with fine regional specialties and stimulating conversations at the Secret Garden Restaurant in Zug.

In addition to culinary delights, the evening surprised guests with a cultural performance by the Zug legend teller Maria Greco and an exclusive look behind the scenes - personally guided by hostess Irene Gangwish.

Many thanks to everyone who took part!

Hotel microcosm - when offers close circles

Is it enough to build a fascinating hotel in remote areas or is more needed? Yes, said Brigitte Trauffer and turned the wooden hotel into a world of experience. With wooden cow carving courses, guided tours, a store, playground and restaurants, she and her team created a microcosm that invites guests to experience and discover. During her creative presentation, she revealed to us the thinking behind this and the tips she can pass on to her colleagues.
