The number of establishments certified with ibex fairstay is growing again. The certification committee confirms the initial certification of one hotel and the re-certification of three hotels and eleven youth hostels. All establishments have distinguished themselves through outstanding performance and high standards. The teams involved are delighted and proud. And rightly so.
Initial hotel certification
Seehotel Wilerbad, Wilen am Sarnersee
The location of the Seehotel Wilerbad is unique, directly on Lake Sarnen with a breathtaking view over the mountains to the Alps. The hotel is known throughout Switzerland as a seminar hotel. The spacious and modern spa offers an oasis of relaxation.
The Seehotel Wilerbad has already achieved ibex fairstay gold certification for the first time. Congratulations.
Re-certifications hotels
Hotel Villa Honegg, Ennetbürgen
The Hotel Villa Honegg is a hotel at the highest level. Naturalness and discretion are the watchwords. Situated above Lake Lucerne, it combines culinary delights with breathtaking views of the mountains and lake.
The Hotel Villa Honegg has further improved its sustainability performance and has now been awarded ibex fairstay gold.
Central Plaza Hotel, Zurich
The Central Plaza Hotel in Zurich, known for over 139 years, is located directly on the Limmat next to the main train station. With 103 rooms, it combines a modern lifestyle with excellent service and offers direct access to the city and airport.
The Central Plaza Hotel has now been awarded the highest ibex fairstay platinum rating.
Hotel-Restaurant Sonnenberg, Kriens
The Hotel-Restaurant Sonnenberg on Kriens' local mountain offers panoramic views, ecologically furnished rooms and seasonal, regional cuisine. The business promotes labor market integration and excels in the areas of social responsibility and regional roots. The Hotel-Restaurant Sonnenberg has deservedly won the ibex fairstay platinum award.
Re-certification of youth hostels
Swiss Youth Hostels
The Swiss Youth Hostels have been valuable partners of ibex fairstay since 2007. A total of 45 establishments are audited every three years by our independent auditors. This is a valuable step towards quality assurance, analysis of important parameters and further development. This consistent approach is also reflected in the number of awards at the highest "platinum" level, which have been achieved step by step over the past 18 years.
